In a career spanning over 22 years, David Thom has established a solid musical reputation, growing from mainstay of the California bluegrass scene, to becoming a nationally and internationally recognized performer.

David’s talents are best judged by the admiration of his peers, with countless invitations to perform from leading artists both onstage and in the studio.  His command of acoustic guitar and mandolin is perfectly complemented by wide-ranging vocal abilities.  Though firmly rooted in bluegrass, David’s musical repertoire knows few bounds, from traditional to contemporary, from tributes to originals, from Flatt & Scruggs to The Grateful Dead, to the delight of audiences everywhere.

As a recording artist, engineer, and producer, David has racked up an impressive list of album credits to his name, including 2012’s highly-acclaimed That Old Familiar, featuring Grammy-winner Laurie Lewis.  On his latest release, New Territory, he teams up with Don Rigsby, two-time Grammy Award nominee and two-time winner of the Traditional Male Vocalist of the Year award from the Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music of America (SPBGMA).

David Thom performs regularly as a founding member of the Grateful Bluegrass Boys, Vintage Grass, The Bill Hearne Trio, and Kitty Jo Creek.  From West Coast to East Coast, North to South, North America to Europe, David is leaving his musical mark.

Catch him if you can.
