By chance, Rigsby and Thom met through mutual friend and banjo player Bill Evans. As part of a Flatt and Scruggs tribute, Rigsby flew out to CA to perform with Evans and Thom, among other CA Bluegrass musicians. The two hit it off both musically and personally and became fast friends. David asked Don to come back to CA to play more music a few months later and on that trip, the idea of recording together began to take shape. Ideas were exchanged and the process began.
The recording covers the gamut from Bluegrass to originals and Americana. It is the first release for the Rigsby and Thom duet on 9 Lives Records. Thom said, ”I am stoked about this recording. It has been a labor intensive-effort requiring recording sessions in Kentucky, California, Arkanas and Tennessee. It was totally worth it!”
